The World's first Antarctica matured whisky is underway!

A rare moment in whisky-making history has arrived - and this is YOUR chance to be part of it!

Pushing the boundaries of whisky maturation to new extremes, a pioneering project dreamt up by Cask World founder, Daniel Monk is on its way to fruition; with whisky casks currently maturing on the Antarctic continent at the Marambio base, Courtesy of La Alazana Distillery, a World's First.

This challenging endeavor began in 2022, thanks to Nestor and Lila Serenelli of La Alazana Distillery, Argentina, with the assistance of the Argentinian Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces.

For the first time ever, whisky enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a single malt infused with Antarctica's maritime terroir: Antarctic clean air, unique climate, strong winds, and icy temperatures.

Expected to reach maturation in 2025, one of the two casks filled with this special whisky will then be bottled on behalf of Cask World which has been earmarked for our exciting new Seven Continents Series of premium single malts from Rosewin Holdings & Cask World under our Cask World Reserve bottling brand to shine the spotlight on the new world whisky boom.
